June Goals and Update

Hello June! I have been waiting for you. We had a beautiful sunny day for June 1st and I spent the afternoon with my family at Hell Bay on their patio. It was such a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Yesterday I had a bridal shower for a friend, and then a family birthday! So many fun things this weekend, that I didn’t get my budgeting done until today.

Now that it’s Monday I’m getting ready for the week ahead, and making my June goals. But first let’s recap my May goals:

  • My health goal was running, which is going pretty well. I ran 8K yesterday morning and it felt pretty good. My 10K is about a month away, so I feel I’ll be ready for that.
  • My finance goal was to be under $1500 in debt and we did it! We were able to send $1665 to the debt this month, bringing our total down to 1497.30! We’re so close now, I had been hoping to be debt free by the end of June, but it may be July. Either way, we are ahead of my original goal of September 2019!
  • My other goal was to make a to-do list everyday, which I totally failed at! I did manage to get some things done like running and we painted our bedroom this month. I had wanted to make more youtube videos and blog posts for you though!

June Goals

Health Goal: I will be focusing on running again this month, since my 10K is just under a month away! My goal is to get out running 3 times a week.

Finance Goal: This month I want to experiment with a new way of budgeting. I’m not 100% sure how it will work yet, but instead of budgeting monthly I’m going to experiment with budgeting bi-weekly. With variable income budgeting monthly can be challenging so I wanted to try a different way.

Other Goal: My other goal is to update one blog post per week, as well as getting back into publishing on my regular schedule! I haven’t had too many travel blog posts lately, since we haven’t travelled in a while.

Net Worth Update

Pretty good change this month. This also marks a year of tracking our net worth and in that time it has gone up by $21,437,49! This is a combination of paying off debt, saving more and paying down our mortgage. We have also hit one of the goals I set for 2019, which was to hit $80,000 in net worth, so I’m upping the goal to $90,000!

I can’t believe how far we have come in a year. Can’t wait to see what the next year brings. Do you have any goals for this month?
