It’s the second month of 2018! I know everyone says that time flies, but seriously. TIME FLIES.

Anyway here’s a recap of my January goals:

  1. My health goal was to follow a morning routine, this didn’t go so great, and I wrote about it here. I haven’t given up on it yet though! I’m making an effort to spend less time in bed on my phone in the mornings and more time doing things that make me feel good.
  2. My finance goal is to come in under budget for the month. We overspent by about $240 this month. We did have a few expenses I forgot about – our dog was particularly expensive in January!
  3. My other goal was to do a survey to get some info for my side hustle. I did the survey and I’m really encouraged by the results. So on to the next step!

 

February is going to be exciting and challenging. I used to hate this month, being in Nova Scotia and stuck in the depths of winter is hard.

My health goal is to meal plan! We have been slacking on planning which has lead to getting take out a few times. Also after the holidays it’s hard to get back into eating healthy. It’s also going to help with our financial goal…

My finance goal is to complete a “No Spend Month” I wrote about this on Tuesday. We’re hoping by doing this we’ll be able to put a good chunk on the debt so we can be debt free faster! Now that we’ve started aggressively paying it off, all I want to do it make it go away.

My other goal is to find something to do that brings me joy in the winter. I struggle so much through the cold snowy days, so I want to find something that makes me look forward to them. I want to try snowshoeing, or maybe something inside ;). I’ll have to brain storm!
