September Goals

Share The Love!

I can’t believe it’s September already! August was awesome and it flew by. I just got home from Thunder Bay, Ontario and I’m getting back into the swing of things. First a recap of my August goals:

  • Floss and mouthwash every night – I would call this somewhat successful; I was 100% successful until I went on vacation On August 27th. I let staying up late and being out of routine get the best of me, but I plan on continuing to take care of my teeth.
  • Update my RRSP – Check! I moved the money in my RRSP from a low risk portfolio to a medium/high risk portfolio. It was in a low risk category when we were saving for our down payment for our house, but now this money is for retirement I feel more comfortable having it in a higher risk category.
  • Get a heat pump – Check! We had it installed last week while I was in Ontario. I’m so glad we did this in August because we will be able to get a rebate on our mortgage insurance for making the upgrade within 2 years of buying our house (which is September 15th!!!)

September Goals

While I was on the plane last night I thought about what goals I want to accomplish in September. September always feels like a fresh start, even though I haven’t done the back to school thing in 8 years, it still feels like another “new year”. The weather today definitely has a Autumn crisp in the air!

  • My health goal is to drink more water. I am soooooo horrible about not drinking water or only have tea/coffee through the day. Often I realize at 2 in the afternoon that I haven’t consumed any water all day. I will be filling a water bottle in the morning and aim to consume 60 ounces of water a day.
  • My finance goal is to start planning for Christmas! I know it seems far away but you should be thinking about Christmas and how you will pay for gifts.
  • My “other” goal is to publish 2 blog posts a week, and generally grow this blog.

I hope you’ve made some goals for September too! Get inspired with my goal sheet print out and let me know what your goals are for the month.
