I LOVE SNACKS, and Disney World does them right! On my last trip I actually had a list of snacks at Disney World I wanted to try (nerd alert!). Although I didn’t get through all of them, I enjoyed trying and can’t wait to get back and try more! A few were a bust but lots of them were super delicious.
So I consulted the Disney blogging world, and they are sharing with you their favorite snacks! Try not to get too hungry.

If you are using the Disney Dining Plan on your trip, the snacks with *DDP listed count as one snack credit. Subject to change by Disney of course!

Troll Horn *DDP
My favorite snack at Disney World (from the ones I’ve tried so far!) is the Troll Horn, found at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, in Epcot’s Norway pavilion. The outside pastry is crisp and sweet, and the creamy slightly fruity filling is delicious.

My favorite snack is from France in Epcot….the macaron ice cream sandwich. I dream about it. It is a macaron with ice-cream in the middle. Usually chocolate and another seasonal flavour is available.

Soft Serve Ice-cream
Some of the best ice cream you will ever eat is hidden at Crepes des Chefs de France in Epcot. The ice cream here must be made with real cream, it is so delicious and full of rich flavor. You can get it in a cone or go all out and top your crepe with some of this delicious ice cream!

Tacos de Barbacoa
My favorite snacks at Disney World is the Tacos de Barbacoa from the Mexican Pavilion in Epcot. This quick service meal is perfect for sharing for brunch with a frozen lime margarita. The tastes are so warm and comforting it welcomes you in a hug of flavor. Setting the perfect tone for your day around the world.

Shaved Ice *DDP
Shaved Ice from the Japanese pavilion in Epcot is one of my favourite Disney treats, especially on a hot Florida day! They have traditional flavors you would expect, and some unique flavors like honeydew! I think honeydew topped with condensed milk is the best flavor combo for a sweet refreshing treat!

Croque Glacé
One of my favourite snacks at Disney World is the Croque Glacé from L’Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion in Epcot. It is a scoop of ice cream pressed inside a warm brioche bun. Guests can choose both the ice cream flavour and the sauce flavour from a number of options. The photo pictured is of the mint-chocolate ice cream with caramel sauce, so good! I highly recommend this delicious treat!

Spicy Chicken and Waffle Sandwich
I love the waffle sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom. They are quick, inexpensive and absolutely delicious. This is a chicken and waffle sandwich but they also have a Nutella and Berry waffle too! So amazing. An absolute must have on every trip.

Baked Potato *DDP
I love the scrumptious baked potato at Sleepy Hollow Inn in Liberty Square! YES, it’s just one snack credit, YES, it’s delicious. YES, it’s on the secret menu!
Accompanied by sour cream, cheese, and margarine, this snack is also perfect as a light lunch.

All-American Sundae *DDP
As for my family, when we are visiting The Mouse, there is one place that we almost inevitably will stop. That place is Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at Magic Kingdom. We stop at this vintage looking ice cream parlor partly because my husband likes to enjoy the All-American Sundae. It is simply a good, old fashioned, ice cream sundae dripping with hot fudge and a peanut butter drizzle. Resting on top is a dollop of whipped cream with a cherry to add a touch more color and flavor. Sometimes the classics are the best treats. Delicious.

Starbucks Refresher *DDP
The afternoons can be VERY hot at Walt Disney World, especially when you are out in the bright sun waiting for the Festival of Fantasy parade. One of our favorite refreshments while waiting is a Strawberry Acai Refresher from the Starbucks on Main Street, U. S. A… and refreshing it is! The sweet strawberry flavor combined with strawberry bits are a perfect combination to cool off. Don’t worry if strawberries aren’t your thing. They also have Cool Lime and Very Berry Hibiscus flavored Refreshers which are yummy too.

Fruit and Nutella Waffle
Every time we go to Disney World we absolutely have to get a Fresh Fruit Nutella Waffle at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments. I love berries and my wife loves Nutella, so it is a match made in heaven!

Cheeseburger Spring Rolls *DDP
I love so many Disney Parks treats. I can easily fill my face with churros, Mickey Ice Creams and I’ve been known to have a soft spot for The Kitchen Sink. That soft spot makes for a soft belly, but that’s getting off topic. All of those are amazing, but there is one glorious treat that wins my heart; The Cheeseburger Spring Roll. There is something about that little guy that makes me feel joyful. Maybe it’s the calories but those don’t count in Disney they say. This little spring roll full of happiness is an elusive one. Sometimes he’s there and other times Disney withholds his wonderfulness. If you are lucky enough to hunt one down beside Adventureland’s The Jungle Cruise, don’t miss your chance. He may be greasy, but that grease is filled with awesome flavor. I 100% recommend it.

Rice Krispy Treat *DDP
It’s just to the right on Main Street USA, almost as soon as you start your trek towards the castle. The smell hits you first, as you leave the middle of the road and move towards the window, you’ll see the bakers rolling fresh made salt water taffy and the biggest Rice Krispy Treats you’ve ever seen. They’re shaped like Mickey’s ears, have multiple layers of flavor and are decorated to represent any number of your favorite characters. Pick one to eat now or save for later. It will become your new Disney vacation tradition. P.S. Don’t forget the picture of you taking that first bite!

The Best Snacks at Animal Kingdom

Safari Amber Beer
One of our favorite Disney ‘snacks’ is Safari Amber, a beer made by Anheuser-Busch exclusively for the Walt Disney World Resort. You can find it at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge, and in Epcot. We love that the parks have really stepped up their craft beer game over the years, but we can still track down many of these brews outside of Walt Disney World. With Safari Amber however, we make sure to have at least one each trip because we know we won’t be seeing it anywhere else. It’s the perfect refreshing lager for breaking up a walk around World Showcase or a day in Animal Kingdom!

Night Blossom *DDP
Animal Kingdom has really improved in the last few years. We visited the new Pandora Avatar land and absolutely loved the food and atmosphere. One of the most interesting things I tried was the Night Blossom drink.
The colorful drink can be found at the Pongu Pongu drink stand. I found out through some research that apparently translates to “Party Party” in Na’vi, which the language spoken by the people of Pandora. The pink and green layers include the following flavors; limeade, apple and pear. The orange boba balls are made from sweet tapioca flour and are passion-fruit flavored.
I personally think it tastes like sour patch kids! First it’s sour then it’s sweet!

The Best Snacks at Hollywood Studios

Chocolate Chip Cookie *DDP
A trip to Disney World would not be complete without the infamous Chocolate Chip Cookie. The cookie used to be produced at the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom.
Unfortunately, the bakery has been turned into a Starbucks (which I will never fully understand why they would do this). However, don’t fret, the cookie still exists.
Located at the last food stand before the Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios, you can find the chocolate chip cookie. It is slightly larger than the original, but still decadently sweet. Best to be enjoyed after riding the rides, if you get my drift!

Darth Vader Cupcake *DDP
My favorite Disney World snack is the Darth Vader cupcake. I’m not sure where all you can find them, but I’ve only seen them at the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios. They are a chocolate lovers dream come true.

Carrot Cake Cookie *DDP
From the first time I read about it on DFB Food Blog, I knew I had to have a Carrot Cake Cookie the next time I was at Hollywood Studios.  This giant cream cheese filled cookie is the perfect combination of Carrot Cake goodness and cookie in the hand convenience.  It is large enough to feed the family for a snack or makes a great breakfast for two! It used to be found in the beloved Writer’s Stop, but that cute little shop was sacrificed to the ongoing construction changes occurring  in Hollywood Studios. Never fear! It has been found now in the Beverly Sunset Sweet Spells!  If you love Carrot Cake as much as we do at VeraVise WOW Travel don’t miss this special treat!!

Best Snacks – Various Locations

Mickey Bar *DDP
Food is always better when it’s shaped like Mickey, and the iconic Mickey Bar is no exception. The vanilla ice cream coated in chocolate is delicious, and while I don’t normally order ice cream bars anywhere else, these are a must-do on any Disney trip. Mickey Bars can be found in the Disney parks, at most of the Disney resorts’ food courts, and pretty much anywhere else on Disney property.

Mickey Pretzel *DDP
You know how Disney can make just about any food item Mickey shaped and somehow it tastes better? That’s how I feel about a Mickey pretzel. Only they really are super delicious! The pretzel part is doughy, the outside just crispy enough. And, they come in a variety of flavors like the famed jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzel or the decadent sweet cream pretzel. If you wanna go all out, get the side of cheese and drench your pretzel in cheesy goodness!

Chocolate Croissant *DDP
My all-time favourite snacks at Disney World is the chocolate croissant. I always find them at the resort food courts, and I’ve had them at Pop Century, All-Star Sports and Caribbean Beach Resort. They are a delicious flaky pastry with a chocolate filling. I eat one just about every day when I am at Disney, they are that good!

Dole Whip *DDP
Dole Whips are a delicious pineapple soft serve treat. They can be found in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom, at Pineapple Lanai located in the Polynesian Resort, and at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in Animal Kingdom. Dole Whips are served many different ways including as a float with pineapple juice, regular pineapple, vanilla and pineapple swirl, or even with rum (at Animal Kingdom Park only)! Delicious!

Popcorn *DDP

There are popcorn stands all over the parks and what better snack to have during the nighttime shows? I firmly believe that Disney popcorn tastes way better than regular popcorn (also it’s gluten free)! If you plan on eating a lot, you might want to buy one of the seasonal popcorn buckets, and refills are only $2 instead of the regular $5!

  1. I LOVE this blog post! What a fantastic way to showcase the different snack options at Disney! There are so many of these I’ve never tried! We usually stick to School Bread and Chocolate Covered Caramels from EPCOT! 🙂

These all look delicious! Will be seeking these out when we visit Disney World! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Epcot definitely seems like the best park for snacks! I remember visiting Disney in high school and basically living off of churros and chocolate for the whole time I was there. Maybe not the healthiest choice…
