Who’s the travel lover in your life?

If you’re still racking your brain on what to get your favourite travel lover; I’ve made a list of my favourite gifts to give (and receive)!

Travel journal

I LOVE my travel journal! It’s so important to write down the details of your trips. I’m always surprised and how much I forget.

Toiletry bag

A good toiletry bag can hang from a shower rod or hook. I love how organized it keeps things!

Carry on bag

A sturdy bag the right size for carrying on is essential to plane travel!

Water bottle

We could all use a great water bottle. Remember to fill up after security at the airport 😉

Packing cubes

I got packing cubes last year for Christmas and love them! Now I don’t dump out my whole bag just to find that ONE thing.

Travel guides

If you know someone is planning a trip, pick up a guidebook to that country. I like Rick Steves!

Planners

I love my planner! It helps keep things I need to do organized.

Gift certificates for experiences

Usually people who love to travel also love to try new things! Get them a gift certificate to a cooking class, skydiving, dance class, art workshop – the possibilities are endless here.

Scrapbooking things

I love to scrapbook my travels, so stickers or cool paper are always appreciated!

Photo frames

Gotta display those awesome travel photos!

Scratch off maps, or a map with pushpins

We’ve gotten this as a gift and think it’s so cool! Also a conversation piece

Coloring books

It’s nice to have something relaxing to do on a plane. Especially if you deal with flying related anxiety

Art prints of cities

We have a few up around the house of places we’ve been. It’s a nice reminder of a great trip!

DVDs of travel shows

We love travel shows! Especially Departures

Jewelry inspired by travel

My husband got me a globe for my Pandora bracelet one year.

Passport cover/ wallet

Keep that passport safe and keep travel tickets together with a passport cover/wallet

Luggage

Great luggage is essential to travel! Buy ones that stick out so they’re easy to spot at baggage claim

Cozy socks

I love cozy socks for long flights! Homemade is a bonus!

Do you have any other great gift ideas?

Pin it for later!

There are so many things I want from this list. If we talk about what I NEED, I would have to pick the packing cubes. I have thought a lot of times about getting some but then, when it is time for a trip, I cannot find adequate ones. I should get some this week!

I love those scratch off maps- i actually have been bugging my boyfriend to get one for me for Christmas this year.

Oh, and cozy socks. For all occasions, not just flights 😉

yes cozy socks always! I love our map but we haven’t scratched it because we can’t decide if we should only do places my husband and I have been together or all the places we have been separately too hahaha!!

I would say the nice carry on bag is probably the most helpful gift. It’s the kind of thing that I always need, but am hesitant to splash out on. Maps are always an excellent present too, especially if you know an area that your giftee wants to visit next!

  6. I buy myself a silver bangle in every country or place I have visited my collection is now getting so big I can barely wear all of them but they all mean so much and are a tangible reminder of where I have been and what I was doing at the time. Oh and socks def socks…lol…I particularly love socks with different languages so much fun and they always bring a smile to your face.

  7. Great list of gifts! So many on here I actually want and need! Going to share this with family and friends!

This is a great list. I love how it expands across price ranges. Packing cubes are my favorite travel items!

  9. The travel journal is my favorite thing! But I have a stack of journals that I have yet to get through. XDDD
