Budget Bites
Here’s the deal; I don’t love cooking. It’s pretty much the last thing I want to do in the evening after work. Luckily my husband cooks almost every night (I know, #spoiled). I love restaurant food, and I love checking out a new place and trying something different. But we don’t have the budget to eat out often, or buy a bunch of weird ingredients and spend all day making dinner.
Budget food doesn’t have to mean beans and rice though! You can eat delicious (mostly healthy) meals without spending your life savings on groceries.
We have a grocery budget of about $150 every 2 weeks for groceries and household items, which works out to about $10.71 a day. In this new series, I’ll be sharing meals that cost under $5 to make for 2 people! These recipes will be simple, without complicated ingredients, and shouldn’t take you too long to prepare either!
Keep in mind we live in Canada – our groceries are typically a little more expensive than our American friends!
