These spicy chicken burgers are made with ground chicken, and are pan fried to make a delicious and healthy lunch or dinner!

This spicy chicken burger recipe has become one of our go-to meals since we got it in a Hello Fresh box a while ago. Although we have changed the recipe a little bit to fit our needs.

These burgers are just a little bit spicy from the sriracha mayo, and are delicious for lunch or dinner. They are made with ground chicken or turkey, which makes them a little healthier than beef or deep fried burgers.

This recipe is a little more on the expensive side, coming in at $4.87 for 2 people. If you can get the ground chicken or turkey on sale then they become a bit cheaper.

We usually serve these with some baked (or air fried) fries.

Spicy Chicken Burgers

Yield: 2
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Pan fried chicken burgers made spicy with sriracha mayo.

Ingredients

  • 227g ground chicken or turkey
  • ⅓ -¼ cup (50g) red onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoon sriracha (to taste)
  • 4 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • Handful spring mix or spinach
  • 2 burger buns

Instructions

  1. Grate or press the garlic, and dice the red onion. Add the ground chicken or turkey to a bowl with the garlic and red onion and add the soy sauce. Mix to combine. The mixture may look wet, this is normal! Form into 2 patties (approx 4 inches each)
  2. Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add ½ tablespoon oil. Pan fry the burgers until they are cooked through, approx 5-6 minutes per side. After you flip the burgers you may need to reshape them with your spatula.
  3. Toast your buns in the oven on broil, or in your toaster until they are golden brown.
  4. Combine sriracha and mayonnaise together in a small bowl. You may want to add the sriracha a little bit at a time, depending on your spicy tolerance!
  5. Spread the sriracha mayo on the burger buns, top with the chicken burger and add spinach, or spring mix, and any other desired burger toppings.
  6. Serve with fries, sweet potato fries or a salad!
