Spicy Panfried Chicken Burgers
Budget Bites || Tags: budget recipes, Food ||These spicy chicken burgers are made with ground chicken, and are pan fried to make a delicious and healthy lunch or dinner!
This spicy chicken burger recipe has become one of our go-to meals since we got it in a Hello Fresh box a while ago. Although we have changed the recipe a little bit to fit our needs.
These burgers are just a little bit spicy from the sriracha mayo, and are delicious for lunch or dinner. They are made with ground chicken or turkey, which makes them a little healthier than beef or deep fried burgers.
This recipe is a little more on the expensive side, coming in at $4.87 for 2 people. If you can get the ground chicken or turkey on sale then they become a bit cheaper.
We usually serve these with some baked (or air fried) fries.

Spicy Chicken Burgers
Pan fried chicken burgers made spicy with sriracha mayo.
Ingredients
- 227g ground chicken or turkey
- ⅓ -¼ cup (50g) red onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ tablespoon canola oil
- 1 ½ teaspoon sriracha (to taste)
- 4 tablespoon mayonnaise
- Handful spring mix or spinach
- 2 burger buns
Instructions
- Grate or press the garlic, and dice the red onion. Add the ground chicken or turkey to a bowl with the garlic and red onion and add the soy sauce. Mix to combine. The mixture may look wet, this is normal! Form into 2 patties (approx 4 inches each)
- Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add ½ tablespoon oil. Pan fry the burgers until they are cooked through, approx 5-6 minutes per side. After you flip the burgers you may need to reshape them with your spatula.
- Toast your buns in the oven on broil, or in your toaster until they are golden brown.
- Combine sriracha and mayonnaise together in a small bowl. You may want to add the sriracha a little bit at a time, depending on your spicy tolerance!
- Spread the sriracha mayo on the burger buns, top with the chicken burger and add spinach, or spring mix, and any other desired burger toppings.
- Serve with fries, sweet potato fries or a salad!
