The Guide To Setting Monthly Goals
Goals || Tags: goals ||I want to talk about goals today! I think everyone has goals, at least in their head. They may be super specific like running a marathon, or more general like save more money. I’ve decided it’s time to get down to business making goals and crushing them.
I’m going to make monthly goals: one health, one finance, and one “other” of whatever category I want to work on that month. Breaking them down into small chunks makes them so much easier to swallow!
You may have seen the SMART goal acronym. It helps us make goals and know when we’ve accomplish them.
It’s important to make goals that are meaningful to you! Take some time to brainstorm some goals you want to accomplish. Just write down anything and everything you’d like to do, then go through and pick a few that jump at you as being the most important, or most exciting to you!
Now that you have some ideas, break it down into things you can do everyday to get you closer to your goal. It’s easy to set BIG goals because they are exciting, but they usually take a long time to complete, and we are prone to getting distracted and discouraged. Setting daily or monthly small goals helps us stay on track to get to that BIG awesome goal.
For example one of my big goals is to eat healthier
What I can do monthly is make meal plans in advance to avoid making last minute unhealthy decisions
Somethings I can do daily are make sure I have protein at breakfast, and make sure I’m getting all my servings of veggies and fruits
I love a checklist because it’s sooooo satisfying to check things off! So I made this printout and I will be filling it out at the beginning of every month and sharing my progress with you! I hope you’ll fill it out too and share with me on my journey!
What are some of your big goals? I can’t wait to share mine with you!
