November Goals and Net Worth Update

Share The Love!

Wow, November! What?! I hope everyone had a great Halloween last night. I handed out candy as Mary Poppins. We got about 35 trick or treaters!

Let’s recap the October goals!

  • My health goal was to cut down on my screen time. I set a 90 minute per day limit on social media apps and I definitely went over that but it’s helped me be more aware of how much I am on my phone. I’m continuing this limit and hoping to get better at not picking up my phone so much.
  • My finance goal was to hit our great big 2018 goal of being under $10,000 in debt AND WE DID IT! I’m sooooooooo excited. Being in 4 digits of debt instead of 5 makes debt free life seem so much closer.
  • My other goal this month is to grow this blog. I love sharing this journey with you. I love hearing from you and having conversations about money, travel and life! I decided to start a private Facebook group so that we can have important money conversations together. It’s a safe place to ask questions and learn from each other. If you’re interested, please join us over at Money Talks With Will Save For Travel! Thanks to all of you that shared the group!

November Goals:

I have so many things I’m looking forward to this month! My Mom and a few friends do a long weekend of Christmas baking which is AMAZING! I so look forward to this girls weekend, hanging out, baking and laughing. I’m so excited. We also have been building a gingerbread house with my Dad, Stepmom and her family for 21 years! This tradition means the world to me, and it always feels like the kick off to Christmas! I can’t wait to spend time with them.

Gingerbread House 2017

Behold! Last year’s Gingerbread creation!

My health goal is to meal plan so that I’m eating my veggies and protein and not just Christmas cookies and left over Halloween candy! I know I’ll feel better getting some nutrients as well as some treats!

My finance goal is to have 14 no spend days this month! With the holidays coming up (and ALL the cute Christmas décor hitting the shelves) I find it so easy to swipe a card. I want to make sure I’m being intentional with my shopping this month.

My other goal is to get my house more organized before the holidays hit. This place has been feeling like a mess since we came home from Disney a month ago! With lots of fun things coming up, I want our house to feel calm and peaceful, which is hard when it’s messy! We have been painting our basement and we’re ready to get that organized and put back together!

I want to challenge you to set some goals for this month! Share them in the comments if you’re comfortable.

Net Worth Update

Not much change this month, but we’re headed in the right direction!
