Free Things at Disney World
Disney Travel USA || Tags: Disney, travel ||There are so many free things at Disney that you might not know about. Okay maybe not free, but they are included either with your package or park ticket! Most of these perks only apply if you are staying on property but a few are available to everyone!
Before you even go on your trip there are free things at Disney you can take advantage of to get the excitement going!
Before Your Trip
Using a travel agent
If you decide to book your trip through a travel agent, you get to use their knowledge of Disney all for free! Disney pays them for you! We used a travel agent to book our flights, hotel and park tickets, as well as our Keys to the Kingdom tour, it was great because she got to call Disney for us, saving me the money calling long distance!
Free Planning DVD
If you want to plan for yourself, or even just get excited, Disney will mail you a free vacation planning DVD (get it here)
My Disney Experience App
The My Disney Experience app or website helps you set up your trip for success! Log in online or download the app to see your trip itinerary, make dining reservations, or mobile food orders, see your Memory Maker photos, or see current wait times. There is SO much you can use the app for, it’s a must have!

Free things at Disney World
Transportation
There are many different ways to get to the parks from your resort – and they are free! Every resort has buses, but a few have monorail stops to get to the Magic Kingdom, and Epcot. The Skyliner will take you to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and there are also a few boats! Just think of them as an extra ride!
Parking
If you are staying at an on property resort, you can park at the theme parks for free! However you will have to pay a nightly fee to park at your Disney resort.
Resort Activities
Every resort has fun activities going on fairly often. Things like movies under the stars, dance parties, crafts, trivia, games, and more that are mostly free! You’ll get a schedule of activities when you check in to your hotel!
Wi-Fi
Disney has Wi-Fi throughout their parks and hotels that is free to use! It is a little slow and spotty sometimes but is great for using the MDE app at the parks! Especially so us international guests don’t have to get a phone plan to use data in another country!
Buttons
You can get adorable celebratory buttons at your hotel check in or at guest relations in the parks! If it’s your birthday a cast member may sprinkle some extra magic on you! You can write anything you want on the “I’m Celebrating…” buttons! They’re fun and a free souvenir to bring home too
Ice Water
You don’t have to lug around a water bottle all day in order to have water when you want it! Disney will give you a free glass of ice water at any quick service location; you don’t even have to buy anything!
Disney Springs and The Boardwalk
Both of these locations are free: you don’t need a park ticket or be staying on property to enjoy their amenities. They both have restaurants, shops, and entertainment, of course they all cost money, but just walking around is free! See here for more info about each location!
PhotoPass Photographers
You’ll notice photo pass photographers around all the parks taking photos of guests. Using their camera those photos are part of the Memory Maker. But they will take your photo using your camera for free if you ask them!
Fireworks
If you’re having a No Park Day at Disney, you can still see fireworks for free! Outside the entrance to the Magic Kingdom or on the beaches of the Polynesian resort you can see the fireworks of Happily Ever After. You can also see them from restaurants at the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary resort.
There you have it! Did you have any idea there was so many free things at Disney? If I missed something please let me know, so we can all take advantage, er, enjoy!
Pin it for later!
