Booking A Bounce Back Offer at Disney World

On our latest trip to Disney World, we knew we were planning to come back in about a year and a half. I had heard about a Bounce Back offer, which is a special promotion for people who book their next vacation while at Disney World. If you’re curious about this special offer, read ahead, I have all the details for you.
Who Should Book A Bounce Back Offer?
Anyone who thinks they might want to go to Disney again within the dates of the offer. The cancellation policy applies as usual; $200 deposit, and the rest is due 30 days before your trip. If you cancel 30 or more days before you get your $200 deposit back. We knew we were planning a trip for December 2019 so we booked the bounce back offer, but if something comes up and we have to cancel, we get our money back!
You need to be staying at a Disney owned resort. It doesn’t matter what your current length of stay is or how you booked it – through a travel agent, rented DVC points, etc. You only need to be staying at a Disney owned resort and follow the guidelines for the current bounce back offer.

What Is The Bounce Back Offer?
It changes often, so for the most up to date information, check with your hotel. The most common discounts are a ”Free Dining” offer or a room discount. As an example the offer we booked was:
Check in dates: May 28-June 4, June 28-September 7, December 6-24 2019
Free Quick Service Dining at Value and Moderate resorts, free Disney Dining Plan at Deluxe resorts. You are able to pay the difference to upgrade your Dining Plan.
Must have minimum 4 night stay with a 4 night Park Hopper ticket.
(excludes All Star Movies, Port Orleans French Quarter, Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation, Fort Wilderness campsites, Bay Lake Tower, Villas at the Grand Floridian, Cabins at Copper Creek and 3 bedroom villas)
Book through October 31 2018.

How To Book A Bounce Back Offer
Disney doesn’t always make it obvious that a Bounce Back offer is available. Housekeeping should put a brochure in your room that describes the offer, but we didn’t have one in our room on our trip.
You can ask at the front desk of your hotel, but the best way to book is by calling *8844 from your hotel room phone. This is the line to the Disney Vacation Reservations. They will be able to tell you what the bounce back offer is and they can book it for you.
The bounce back offer MUST be booked by 10pm on your check out day or else the discount will not apply.
You will need the confirmation number of the reservation that you are currently staying in, and the names of the people who will be on the next vacation. They will also need a credit card to charge for the $200 deposit. They don’t have access to the card that you may have already attached to your My Disney Experience account.
It doesn’t have to be the same number of people that is on your current reservation. My husband and I went on the last trip, and for our Bounce Back offer we booked 4 people in a room, adding our friends that will be joining us in December 2019.

I would love to grab a free dining bounce back offer! We are headed to Disney in December and that might be the only way I can convince my husband to book a trip for 2019! 🙂
