This red lentil dal recipe is cheap, vegan and made in one pot for easy cleanup! Perfect for meal prep, makes 6 servings and you can freeze it.

It was only a few years ago when my good friends took me out for Indian food for the first time. I had never tried it before, and was a little nervous! With their help picking out a dish, I had a great experience and now Indian is one of my fav cuisines. (more…)


Yes, It Matters Where You Spend Your Money

This has been on my mind a lot lately with all that is going on in the world right now. Yes, it DOES matter where you spend your money, but maybe not in the way you think.

Being self employed myself, my heart is broken for all the businesses that won’t reopen after the need for social isolation is over. These small businesses are someone’s dream, and they often employ other people from the communities. These small businesses donate to sports teams and fundraisers. They are part of the fabric of our communities and without them, our neighborhoods would be very different. (more…)
