As you know, a mattress is a really important purchase! You want something comfortable and well made, all at an affordable price.

I started researching mattresses a few months ago, as it was time to replace ours. I wanted something that was made in Canada, eco friendly and within our budget of about $800. I also didn’t want to drive around testing out mattresses with pressure to buy from a salesperson in a showroom.

Having grown up on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, I didn’t appreciate its beauty until I had grown up and moved away. 

Although there is no real definition of the South Shore’s boundaries, it’s widely accepted to be all of Lunenburg, Queens, and Shelburne Counties. 

It would take quite a while to explore all the little towns along the South Shore, this road trip itinerary assumes you’ll be spending at least a couple of nights in different towns. I’ll do my best to share larger tourist towns and some hidden gems along the way!

Reflections On 1 Year Debt Free

It’s been a year since we finished paying off over $26,500 of debt.

A year already?! Although the past year seems like it simultaneously went by in the blink of an eye and also at turtle speed. So much has happened and changed in our lives, but also so much has stayed the same. I’m excited to go down memory lane with you in this post!

Also I just needed to take some time to celebrate that we have not gone back into debt over the past year!
